Roxy Risque’s Blaydon Races
After working on the show circuit in Tenerife for a while Roxy Risque took over as resident compere at the Old Blaydon, this was around 2006. Then one day about 3 years later he threw a serious bitch fit and left to go back out on the circuit again.
Since then, the previous owners sold up, the bar was taken over a couple of times before Tony decided to take over the bar himself – now known as Roxy Risque’s Blaydon Races the place is going from strength to strength.
This is the all new and the all old Blaydon Races. All new in that Roxy now owns the place and has his name above the door (on the walls, the stage, face book, fan club, papers, the bar towels and the T-shirts) and all old because he want the place to ROCK, SWING, PARTY like it used to when he was there many moons ago….. but with a fabulous 7 foot Tranny twist!!!!
Roxy performs his own shows there every week, one on a Monday night and a different one on a Thursday. This is in addition to hosting the other nights for some of the best artists in Tenerife.
The doors open at 9pm, so make sure you get there early if you want a good seat.
Roxy Risque’s Blaydon Races is open 6 days a week, but on a Friday they are closed ….. even the wicked need to rest.
